Holy Toledo! I love NAB! The fact that I live in Las Vegas where NAB happens every year is like Christmas in April, a 20 minute drive to the convention center and I’m surrounded by 100,000 people, all geeking out over this video stuff. I love it. The other thing I love about NAB is that I get to meet some of my heroes in the industry.
This year I got to meet and speak with Emm from Cheesycam. Emm was the first guy I started following when it came to video and film. I found his DIY camera stablizer video online and he did such a great job explaining it, I figured I could build one too. $50 later and little elbow grease, I had built my first camera rig. Over the years, I have visited Cheesycam.com hundreds of times to find new ideas and inspiration. The guy is a class act and it was a true pleasure to meet him.

Each year I go to NAB, I have a great time. Last year I got to meet Niko and Sam from CorridorDigital and Deejay from DSLR Film Noob!

NAB goes through Thursday and I’m gonna do my best to wear out a pair of shoes this year. There’s just so much cool stuff to see.
